Good choice, I think you'll find the low shoes more comfortable in the long run. And the Native Earth ones you pictured are some of the best.

I have a really nice pair of "fantasy ghillies" that are one of 3 or 4 prototype pairs made by a member here, but he never started production on them;

Too bad, because they are some really nice, comfy and durable faire shoes.
I do wear socks with them though, it's easier on the feet and the shoes IMO.
