    Letting out a kilt

If a bloke has gotten a bit...fluffier..around the middle is there a way to get a kilt let out a bit?

The quick way is strap extenders. Little belts (6" to 8" long) that extend the existing straps. It will give you a bit of breathing space to "de-fluff".

If de-fluffing is not possible then moving the buckle on the right hand side and the strap on the left hand side is the next step. Not a difficult job, but a step that you might not want to take. If you do it, what is the incentive to de-fluff?

Many of our vendors here sell the extenders.

    Regards

    Chas

Is the extra fluffiness just an inch or two? If so, then moving the buckle and strap, as Chas described is a good solution. Strap extenders are also a good idea.
If it's a matter of super-fluffiness. the aprons could probably be enlarged.
Actually altering a kilt to make it larger involves a lot work and time. Avoiding that cost could be a great motivator to de-fluff. I hear it's easier for guys than for us ladies.

Actually, its only about 2 inches of fluffiness...so I will have to look into the extenders. Thanks Chas for the info....in the meantime I am visiting the running trail to de-fluff
