    Well, I always said if one can't get all their stuff in their sporran, (or trouser pockets for that matter) you may be carrying too much stuff!

    That being said, I'm always commenting how roomy Buzz Kidder sporrans are, and downside of that is that I often carry too much stuff! The topic of sporran size has come up before, so here's some photos I did a while ago to show the capacity of Buzz Kidders;

    On a 'normal' day it'll be my wallet, car key, a small folder, and dumb phone (which I use for a watch too). Not so bad.

    Add my almost ever-present camera, (size represented here by the red box) and maybe some stuff I might pick up along the way, like a CD, and it bulks up quick! This was actually the contents of my sporran one day after a trip to the renfaire. Yes it all fit

    I don't know what that all weighs, but I can tell you it was not comfortable after several hours wandering around at faire!

    My solution has been what others have stated; If I know I'm gonna be walking around all day, I'll trim down and spread the stuff around a bit, I'll use a folder with a pocket clip as a money clip with some cash and my ID, and lock the rest of the wallet in the car. If I'm wearing a jacket some small items will go in the pockets. My favorite faire vest didn't have pockets, so I put some in, etc.. Just having the money clip and camera in the sporran makes them easy to access, and is much more comfy. These ideas are really helpful when I'm sporting 'lower capacity' dress sporrans as well.

    I agree about the Stillwater Cargo Sporran. The main problem I had when first wearing the kilt was lack of space to carry stuff. I carry a large wallet, multiple keys with a pocketknife (Swiss Army) attached, a digital camera, cell phone, comb, and a bandana/handkerchief. I've just about quit wearing any other sporran, except for more formal affairs...and then I stuff things in my coat pockets. Hey, I'm a Boy Scout. "Be Prepared"

    Don't forget that the weight of sporran to weight of wearer ration probably has something to do with comfort.

    Besides the basics, I also frequently carry a "Rule No. 11" that weighs in at 24.3 oz or another in at 20.3 oz empty. If it is a cool day, then neither in the sporran.

    My betrothed has asked me to carry a couple of "Feminine" products when she didn't carry her purse. Love will make you do it, but it doesn't help when you pull your wallet out and, uhm, it falls out.

    I won't bother trying to weigh my sporrans as I could wear any one at any given time.

    As for contents, this is them:

    Clockwise from bottom left, work keys (no I am not a janitor), work cell and pager (because I am virtually always on call, even on vacation), personal cell, handkerchief, cash and miniwallet, regular wallet, car and house keys, pill carrier, eyedrops. Those of you with a careful eye will notice 844 grams weight ( a little over 28 ounces of "stuff") I carry in my extra belt pouch (car/house keys, miniwallet, personal cell, cash) or sporran (everything else), based on likelihood of use. The obvious question is "Why two different cell phones?"---As a physician I am provided with a work "call" cell as a back up to my pager, as not all places I go do both of them work, and they don't like us using our work cell for personal use, so I need one for that too. If only I had room for that "rule 11" item---kidding really, not with a 3 year old in my house.

    Wow Forrester that's quite a load!

    It would all fit in my sporran- it's big.

    Handy out at a Games if I have bottled water or other stuff- it just goes in the sporran.
