Kilted Prom 2011
Well, the pix came out a tad dark, but here they are anyway. The night was rather cold and rainy but the students heated the venue up a bit. There was a student kilted at the prom and I'll get the photo up as soon as I get it from the photog guy. The students seemed to have fun especially at the keg...root beer that is. My hearing will come back eventually. I'm wearing a Black Watch kilt with a dark hunter green vest, a white wingtip shirt, the sporran is from Donnie at Wyverne Leather, and the kilt pin came off of my bonnet. I loaned out my dress sporran to the student and he lost it (another story later). The tie is a BW look alike. I had quite a few requests to dance, but declined demurely because of their style of dancing(I'm not sure what to call it). It was a grand evening for all.

Oh no! What happened?
Thanks for sharing your pics and I hope that eventually you can post the one of you with the kilted student too.

The student accidentally covered it up with a towel after a shower and did not find it until the next day. All was safe, but he was close to tears thinking that he'd lost it somewhere. I let him borrow another one of my sporrans and the evening went fine. I thought I'd lost a good sporran, but I got it back shortly after prom.

Looking good! Too bad you lost a sporran over the event...

Pretty sharp! Glad the sporran wasn't lost after all.

All's well that ends well - even if you can't hear it ending!
