leffty pleats
I have made over a dozen kilts and ALL of them have left handed pleats..
I am left handed and it is easier to make left leaning pleats.
Sexual orintation has nothing to do with pleats.
Did you ask him if the crease on his trousers are on the front or the back?

(sigh)... left pleats are useful if you do a lot of kilted driving in a left hand drive car. I also find them useful if one attends a lot of formal dinners (one is supposed to slide into their chair from the left). Other than that...

My experience too. This one is simply ludicrous!

Thanks for all of the responses! I figured that if anyone could debunk such a statement, it'd be you guys It felt like such an odd statement to me ("You're not gay because you're wearing a kilt, you're gay because your pleats are backwards" said the strangely OCD redneck) but once I actually took a look at my friends' kilts, it seemed to me that the direction my pleats faced was less common, so I wondered. The multiple explanations I've received (getting into a car on the right, the formal dinner butt slide, left-handed kiltmakers) have been very informative. I now have a reason instead of a shrug and a "Because." Thanks everyone!

No such thing of course, but I'm sure you mean Reverse Kingusie. Quite logical really.

I can picture an inverted box pleat. To tell thev difference from. A normal box pleat, you'd need to look around the apron. The apron. On thebvinverted pleat, the apron would attach to the backside of the pleat instead of the frontside.
