I can't get to the "full mask" level though. Sorry!! I really couldn't wear one even if it was given to me...
I get a kick out of full mask sporrans precisely because they are so striking. My lass however is mortified by them... she isn't too fond of horsehair sporrans either but tolerates mine as a preferable alternative to the full mask ![Confused](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_confused.gif)

Wow M. A. C. Newsome! Membership has its privileges, eh?

Then there is my bobcat fur Inverlochy sporran which I love.

That Inverlochy gives me sporran envy every time I see it. Because I have an easier time stitching straight lines in leather, I'm going to try my hand at sporrancraft with a squared off cantle... but it will be more influenced by the Inverlochy. I love that thing...

A dwindling herd of sporri!

This one was a "sporran purse" that the proprietor had put a sporran strap on the edges... and it did not work at all. I bought it, cut off the shoulder strap points, and stitched a leather beltloop on the back. It's my favorite sporran now...

The "raw leather" beltloop...

This is my home-made "wild west" sporran. I used 6-8 ounce leather, lighter than any I have ever worked before, too light for toolbelts, tack or orthotics. Finish is just lexol conditioner, many many coats over a few days.
I needed "something" so I would have a place to carry my wallet and keys when I left the house. I did not expect it to receive as many compliments as it has, there is a thread about it with "wild west" in the title you are welcome to bump if you want construction tips.

You were trying to insert HTML code. You only need a direct link which addresses to the image.
In photobucket, the easiest way to get this is from the thumbnail view in your album.
![](http://i400.photobucket.com/albums/pp88/Johnspicsbox/Sporrans/Photobucket2.jpg)
Hover over the picture you want and a drop-down list appears (see above). Select the bottom option "IMG code" and single left click it. You will see it briefly displays "copied"
Go back to your XMTS post (best have this open in another window or tab.) Right click and paste and this will insert the correct link and img tags for the image you want to display.
