Jock those garters sticking out do look a touch odd. I wear breeks and a shooting jacket from Hoggs of Fife during the cool hunts. But when it gets super cold I have no other choice than to suit up in the camo insulated overalls and camo coat. I am going to try hunting kilted on Monday. That will be interesting
More about garter ties. I have taken out my elastic bands from my flashes and use a wool cloth strip as a garter. Also I recently commissioned some hand knit kilt hose and she included some hand knit garter ties. I can't wait to try my first REAL gartersith: I have the hose and garters coming in about a week or two and a new tank on the way that should arrive Monday. So a review is coming soon!

First, let me say that I do want to get a couple of pair of real garters...I am a fan of the "traditional" and historic. That being said, however, I have never noticed a bit of discomfort wearing my elastic flashes. I made my flashes and elastic bands myself...and chose what I felt would be the most comfortable elastic...maybe that's the secret.

Regarding the ties...does anybody ever sell those things at Highland/Scottish games. I've been to two games now and have yet to see anything besides elastic flashes. I just can't seem to justify paying shipping for one or two pair of ties...wish I could pick them up in person somewhere!!
