Hear, hear!
A jacket like that in on my Jones List.

It's a real pity that I'm not a UK 40 otherwise I'd snap that right up. It's beautiful.

Follow-up to jacket on eBay
So after careful measuring and some wavering, I bought this lovely jacket, partly influenced by Matt's clear instruction that someone sized 40 should snap it up. I just got it today, and it is every bit as nice as I had hoped. I think I'll have to get the sleeves let down a bit, but there's ample allowance to do that.
The fabric colours are beautiful, and the "hand" of the tweed is superb. It reminds me of the tight, "thornproof" Ulster tweed of an old 1930's vintage suit I used to wear.
Thanks to Matt and the others who pointed out the eBay listing.
I'll send pictures when it's all done.
Cheers,
John
