Unravelling Belt Loop

Is the fabric that the loop is made from coming unwoven, or is the belt loop coming unattached from the kilt?

Two words...."Duct tape"

They now make it in colors to match most tartans

There's nothing specialized about a belt loop, be it on a kilt or a pair of trousers. If your MIL is as handy as you say, she'll be right on it.

Don't use the Fray Check on your kilt. It won't ruin the fabric, but it will age and flake off in an unsightly way.
