Your dancer there looks just fine, though I usually see dancers with argyle hose, at least around here.
Only dancers that are premier level are actually required to wear the full tartan hose. There's plenty of pre-premiers that go with white knee socks (see my avatar) and most are quite young so I'd be careful there...

Well, there you go. Look at your avatar. I learned something new, today!

And you look great, BTW...and so does the young lady dancing, too.

I dunno, though Dixiecat. I don't think that the Tilted Kilt or any number of the online marketers that sell tartan lingerie paired up with white knee sox and little black pumps are going to hire you to license that picture as advertising copy! It's way too respectable.

The look I was thinking that the original poster might possibly consider avoiding is more like this:

On the other hand, perhaps goodgirlgoneplaid would LIKE that look. It's up to her..... in either case, she's welcome to drop by the hammer cage and say hi, any time...white sox or no white sox!.

LOL - Inspiring people to post racy girly pics, my mother will be so proud. ;)

    Thanks all!

Boots it is! I'm a runner... so hopefully my bare legs will not frighten small children.

    Chucks chucks chucks

I'm sorry, it is 90 degrees here and I vote for the Chucks, I double vote if they are red hightops.
