Cowher, I am intrigued by your third sporran, since you don’t say what animal the fur came from. Looks smart enough for evening wear by my standards, although the more knowledgeable could possibly shoot me down for saying so!

It's Oncifelis geoffroyi. Also called Geofferys Cat. To witch some one says "oh that's where the cat went!"

Fascinating. I looked it up on Wikipedia and found that its natural range covers almost all of Argentina, the whole of Uruguay, a sliver of Brazil, parts of Paraguay (mostly the Gran Chaco) and extends into Bolivia.
And it’s the size of a pussycat.
The caracal (or rooikat) pelt I have (which I plan to have made into a sporran) is from a somewhat larger species, although smaller than a lynx or bobcat.

Mike

I finally got around to photographing my small collection.
These are Buzz Kidders, the one on the left being my very first sporran:

Here on the left is my prized Artificer 12MK2, the Lugosi; on the right is the original prototype Rob Roy Reiver Fusion from Ferguson Britt:

Here, en suite with dirk belt, sporran belt, and coin pouch, is a Ferguson Britt Glengyle in skunk; belt buckle by Tyger Forge:

And finally, a Ferguson Britt Inverarnan in dark brown mule deer, again, en suite with accessories:

I can't get to the "full mask" level though. Sorry!! I really couldn't wear one even if it was given to me...
I agree in regards to the membership - I especially love Sandy MacLean's (JSFMACLJR) collection of sporrans - timeless and classic (and not too terribly large in size that cover a good portion of your kilt apron!). Aww come on John, Kate Macpherson's badger, pine marten, otter, fox, muskrat, Highland Hare, and red fox sporrans are calling your name mate!
Below are a few - not featured, yet, are my brown/black. three tassle leather day wear sporrans from L&M, a brown/black, two tassle horsehair sporran with silver cantle from Kate Macpherson, and a three tassle, evening sporran in white rabbit and silver open lattice cantle from L&M - photos to come...I promise!

I am still on the hunt for the elusive Scottish Wildcat full-mask sporran (I understand Scottish Wildcats are indeed protected), perhaps one day, when I am much older, a Macpherson cousin of mine will be so kind to pass his down to me! I can certainly pray can't I?!
Cheers,

Mine are, quite literally, all mine. I don't own any sporrans that I haven't made.

And lastly, one of my Ken MacLeay historic sporran prototypes.

I've got a few more on the sketch pad right now, but they'll take quite a while to make it to a physical build-out.
