Interesting thread, to me.
As has also been said, I perceive that the forum has become less vital because folks are holding or watering down their comments for fear of offending the mob.
I'm afraid this is true, at least in the case of one person with whom I am familar.

Until Ern sold himself so cheaply (note I referred to several cases and not just the one he settled for...:fewl I was of course referring to the fact that not all Moderators indulge hence I do not know what bribe they would be prepared to accept!
As for me maybe a new kilt or two on top of the several cases would help to test my mettle!
Not that I would give in of course....

Mael Coluim is my kind of moderator - flexible, considerate, and knows his price. ;)
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

Jeez Louise, come back from a kilted adventure and find this on page 13 already.
Memories of past times when I believed I was falsely accused and misunderstood and other's felt I was malicious. Even was rejected for the dandelion club thingie. Long ago learned that when misunderstood the best thing to do is just sit in it and experience what its like. Let your actions tell. Explaining just makes it a lot worse.
I chose to take a break for a while, then come back....it worked for me. There's no finer source of kilt related information and no better place to encourage kilting.
A lot of very active olde timers with high legitimate post counts have moved on for various reasons. Each to their own....seems such talk as this thread is gonna happen on a regular basis....
Up to each of us to make our own decisions based on what works for us.
My only suggestion is that we all shut off our computers for a while, kilt up, an go for a kilted adventure somewhere. The best kilting is out and about.

That's great advice ... just need to get those keyboard tracks off my front apron. ;)
