Portland Highland games

Hey every one the Portland Highland games are quickly approaching (July 16th). This will be my first time attending any highland games event but definitely not my last! and i was just wondering if any other Oregonians from Xmarks will be in attendance? Just ordered my kilt and I am very excited for this event!

My brother, on the right, and myself, on the left, plan to be there again this July, as we were (in the picture) last year. Please introduce yourself if you see us around in our Black Stewarts! (one of my son's in the middle of the photo btw).

If i see you there i most certainly will, as soon as my kilt arrive i will take a picture and post it so you can keep an eye out for me as well! do you compete in any games? your brother looks like he could toss a caber or two!

I will be hosting a tent for Clan Farquharson in the Clan area adjacent to the athletic events (close to a beverage tent also). Stop by for a meet on your rounds.

excellent! i will definitely try and get around to everyone's tents and such. I was also just reading the post on Xmarks official flower, so i might try and wear a dandelion so people may recognize me as a xmarks member.

My name is Tim and I'm part owner of a new kilt company out of Portland called StumpTown Kilts. We will be at the 2011 Portland Highland Games. Please stop by and say hello and check out our kilts. We are very excited to be part of the kilt community. We just vending at the Bellingham Highland games and had a blast! We got a great response from the traditional kilt wearers.

hello again every one, we are getting closer to the games, i look forward to meeting some fellow kilters.
here i am in my kilt (nightwatch tartan from still water) still not exactly sure what i will be wearing for a shirt but i will also most likely be wearing a back pack. and i will be looking to purchase a sporran and some other accessories while im there!

I will be sure to check you guys out! Where will your tent be? All the clans are in the upper field. That's the part of the Portland Games I dislike. They are too divided between venues. Not to mention EXPENSIVE!!
