Perhaps the reason I get out of sorts is that I myself still use many of the British terms from which the terminologies have unfortunately devolved. It's the old English teacher in me - I have the bad habit of actually speaking the language most of the time, and not just making trendy, current grunting sounds.
Ah well! You can't legislate knowledge or intelligence in societies. Not to offend, but it is really discouraging when people don't know the language of their own business. I do not generally blame the employees, but rather their supervisors who often do cursory or no training.
