    Sporran for night at pub?

What type of sporran do folk recommend for a casual night at a pub where loud rock music is played and the clientele of the long haired tattooed type? Obviously dress or semi dress is out and most leather sporrans are considered day wear, I have worn a Rob Roy there but would like a change occasionally (kilt is tartan btw, not khaki, pvc, camo etc.), thanks.

It wouldn't hurt to go without, IMHO unless you just need to be able to carry stuff. I find that I just get it hung on stuff when I am sitting in booths and junk anyhow lol

Edit: Considering the patrons though that you mentioned, you might get one of those big ole horsehair ones, maybe dye it some rad colors. Haha.

I go with a hunting sporran. Black leather and studs? Works great.

I've got a fairly large, simple sporran that works well because it has no tassels. If I prefer to wear black, I have an SWK Nightstalker in Black ripstop that works well.

I don't think that there is anything wrong with a plain leather sporran. Maybe three tassels or none.

That having been said the Stillwater Nightstalker is awesome!

    Regards

Here's a 4th vote for a black Stillwater Nightstalker Cargo Sporran. Either the leather or nylon would be fine.

I've got a McRostie that has no tassels. Perfect for most anything. I just oil it now and again so if beer is spilled on it or someone bumps it there is a good surface. You can find it here:

I'll second Tulloch on the McRostie. I've got the model with tassels in black and it's quickly becoming a favorite.
