How to buy ghillie brogues
I am wanting to get some ghillie brogues but as they are not sold in most local shoe stores are there online companys that are helpful about taking returns and sending you a different size? I wear any where from a 9 1/2 EEE to a 10 1/2 D or E
Thanks

It is understandably difficult to buy shoes when you do not have the opportunity to try them on beforehand. But, as you say, with something like ghillie brogues, you can't really find them at your local shoe store, so you are forced to buy online.
Speaking for the STM, we have no problem taking the shoes back to exchange for a different size. We have a 30 day period where you are allowed to send them back to us.
I would assume many, if not most, other online retailers would have a similar policy.

As you said, it is difficult to buy shoes online. We have the same policy Matt does... 30 days, so long as they're in new condition (try them on inside ON CARPET to make sure they look brand new after the trial run). The "Endrick" model that we carry is a great entry level ghillie and DOES break in relatively easily. That's a big plus if you have wide feet.
The Piper Ghillie we carry is a bit stiffer and is meant to wear for long marches (parades). A wonderful quality shoe (that's what I wear) with a slightly better insole cushion and better padding in the heel cup. If you're up in PA, we're over towards Philly, about an hour NW of the city.
