I did think about it, however I opted for a Black Watch tartan for the wedding as opposed to a Cranstoun (my family) tartan. Now my plans are to spend more money on my next kilt and for it to be Cranstoun.

Basically I did it the wrong way around; bought a relatively cheap kilt for the wedding and will buy a better one later in the year (we're paying for the wedding and with all the costs involved I couldn't put as much into the kilt as I may have ideally wanted).

I still get to wear it around the house
