Seriously, that is quite a gift and I hope you are able to have it re-engineered for your own enjoyment.
i was trying to refrain from that one though it was really hard. Wish people would randomly drop kilts on my doorstep.

Officers kilt from the Gordon Highlanders? Might want to try and find some history on it.

If it was an other ranks, wouldnt it have the mod arrow markings? I think most regiments made officers kit themselves out, or at least pay for it.

The pipe band that I have just joined wears Gordon tartan kilts so if you ultimately decide to divest yourself of it, might be interested to have it for the band's inventory.

You might be able to restore it. If not, and the length is 25" you could just "donate it" to a fellow Ross (myself maybe?) who's kilt addiction must be fed?

    Hmmmm....

Well the Kilted hevens have shown grace upon this poor sole. NONE of the wool was cut when this kilt was taken in almost 10 inches. I spent the afternoon picking out all the stitches to relieve the pleats made to make it smaller. Now I need to find some one to put it back togeather.
