    non verbal communication

Yesterday I slipped on the steep stairs at my son's house, whilst taking my grandson up for his nap. He is not two years old until the end of this month, and although he is doing well with nouns his speach is not adequate for more complex things.

Naturally I put his safety first, so I went down with a bang and slid half way down before I could stop myself. The damage is only bruises and a few square inches of carpet burn.

So I picked myself up and climbed back to the top, just in case he decided to come down, but then I sat down to get my breath back.

Jake hurried off into his bedroom - I thought I must have frightened him.

He came back with the teddy from his bed and gave it to me.

Aren't kids capable of the sweetest things. Hope your bumps are temporary. Do keep and eye on yourself over the next few days and if you get any pains that don't subside or undue swellings that get bigger not less, get yourself off to the doctor.

Kids are amazing! Even at a young age they comprehend far more than they are given credit for.

Aw, so sweet of the little guy to share a treasured comfort object with you just when you needed it.

I think the little guy gave you far more than a Teddy Bear.
