The red haired lass in the front row is my daughter Lorna Mairi-Ceit. I am the chap behind her right shoulder leaning on a cromach.

Great pictures! As Bjarg pointed out the lady next to me is his daughter and not mine. It was great seeing everyone and meeting new friends!

Thanks, Cliff. Sorry I didn't remember Cliff = Bjarg. A poor memory is not the only sympton of creeping decrepitude that I exhibit!

It was great being there and meeting up with all the good folk of X, although I too regret not having as much time as I might desire to spend talking with more of you at some length. Did get to spend some time with Dixiecat, Turpin, Jim, Beowulf, Trippleblessed, Chainsaw and Mrs., and Osearcaigh and Mrs, and a couple others I am sure, on Friday eve at the Celtic tavern for dinner, drinks and conversation, but still not enough time. The Boy (aka Forresterthemostmodern---I kinda like that, thanks Jock) has indeed grown a wee bit since Edinburgh almost four and a half years ago----him vertically and intellectually, me in the circumferential dimension. He greatly enjoyed ice cream with Jim's two grandsons Friday evening, then the bit of the games Saturday that he could see over the heads of the crowd. He also reveled in his new wooden sword acquisition as seen in its poncho pocket "sheath". Sorry we missed Dixiecat's dancing Saturday as we arrived later than expected, but did get to see AtlantaKiltie's band marching in, just no pictures as they went by so fast. Spent just a moment or two with Matt and Ryan, but did get a few minutes with the maker of my wolverine sporran, the man himself Lamar (Adnon) Britt, who actually remembered well the custom making thereof for its original owner. Also made the annual meeting at the Forrester Clan tent with some old and new friends there. Never did make it up the big rock with the family---instead took a "duck" ride----DUKW from WWII now used as tourist attraction in the park and on the lake---my son's special request. If I find any additional pics I will post later.

Thanks again to all for the fun day and trip. And to Jim for helping organize, and remember all the names.

It was a great weekend. I am especially proud to say that I was in attendance at the first games. It is amazing how much they have changed an grown. Many of the friends that I made all those years ago are gone now. I like to think that they have gone to the everlasting Highland Games in the sky with the Great Highland Chief himself leading the parade of clans. I love them and I miss them.
