Tobus.
There is no doubting that Scotland is not exempt from its share of fashion howlers. The Bay City Rollers, Andy Stewart, Jock Scot, The late Duke of Windsor amongst many that may cringe more than a bit at some of their outfits of the past.

Apologies for being OT. Pies over here are exactly the same over there, the filling for pie and chips would generally be Steak and kidney, Chicken and mushroom or beef & onion. the chips are what you call french fries but generally much thicker.
Macspadger or Jock can explain what goes into a Scotch Pie as that is a dark art and recipes are generally kept secret, although I believe its meat and potato?

What goes into a Scotch pie? Why whisky of course, the other ingredients might be Irn Bru, beer and Mars Bars, but of course the critical proportions are a state secret.

From patterned tweed Argyll jackets to meat pies. Awesome!
I love a good meat pie, especially when it's in portable form like a Cornish pasty. But any type, paired with a pint of ale, makes for a happy Tobus.
Oh, and to keep this on topic: be careful when eating meat pies if you're wearing an Argyll jacket. If you spill the contents onto your nice tweed, it will indeed be "too much pattern"!
