Seriously, that is quite an effort. ![Shocked](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_eek.gif)
I admit I found those images online, but maybe next year, if the Henry Ford hosts the Maker City Faire again, I may wear the XKilt I am making, and may make a tartan duct tape sporran.

Going back to the OP and the link to Orvis, has anyone read the customer review that gave the item 5 stars?

Dunno, that sporran has about the same sheen as the rest of the kilt. I wouldn't find it hard to believe that it was duct tape! Or at least electrical tape.

20% off
Great news! Orvis has reduced the price to $394. It's now even closer to reach.

Who would wear this?
We have a hockey commentator - Don Cherry - a former Boston Bruins coach - who wears that kind of thing on national TV all the time, if not even louder than that. Has to be seen to be believed. People love him. He's famous for his wild outfits, which are often much like this jacket.

FWIW Department - I actually saw someone wearing this jacket at the annual Christmas Walk in Alexandria, VA in December.
I probably should have taken a picture of him but I was so taken aback that the thought didn't occur to me until he was long past. I was hoping Mael would see him and take a photo.

Sorry I did not see this when it was originally posted (must have been away)
As soon as I saw it, I thought of the spiv in the St Trinians movies, Flash Harry I think his name was. Would be right up his alley.

Now that is a very good point. If only Don knew this garment exists... but how can someone get word to him, god-like figure that he is? Mind you, most of his outfits seem to come from the Salvation Army stores of the 1950s- this may be too ordinary a garment for him.
Major personal disappointment: my size in long has sold out, and long before it reached the $19.99 clearance price I was confident it would achieve.
