Dear rabble I am writing this at Emory Hospital just to let you know that my wife today received a brand new functioning liver! We are both relieved and happy that she will no longer be so sick. Thank you all for your prayers and well wishes. Her picture and mine are on the third page of this SMHG post. We are sporting the muted Maxwell tartan. Thank you, thank you and may God bless. Dear triple blessed thank you very much but am not foolishly fond of Haggis. I tried it in Scotland and have scratched it off my bucket list. Best regards Mattie

Dear Reni, thank you for your kind remarks and prayers. The operation was Thursday at 12:00 midnight and on Saturday afternoon about 1:00 pm she was put in a private room. in ICU about twenty four hours. Now the hard part of slow recovery begins. I would like to thank each of you that prayed for my soul mates speedy recovery. Best regards Mattie

Dear Jim my red headed godess received a brand new liver three days ago at Emory Hospital. she now has an idea of what you have gone through. We are planning to attend again this years SMHG and hope to see and maybe speak with you. There are not a lot of people that come forth and desire to talk about their transplant. Very best regards Mattie
Tomorrow my wife and I are going to be released from the Emory transplant program in Atlanta where we have been for the last three and a half weeks. God has been very kind and loving to my wife and me. She has a new liver and a new lease on life. Things are getting better fast. Thanks to you, the rabble, for your prayers they have definately been answered. My wife keeps saying that if I keep talking about going home I just might jinx us.. I hope not. Very best regards Mattie
