Just as long as everyone is totally appreciative of the hardship I will have to endure to attend Kamp.
It is the arduous and perilous journey of 355 steps from my bed to Kamp each morning that I must undergo.
All of you driving are just sitting on your rumps pushing with one foot while I must walk the entire way. In fact it is that walk twice each day. Up hill each way.
I could be attacked by wild felines and canines or even more dangerous co-eds.
I could easily perish from thirst that far from the coffee pot.
And then when I arrive I have to put up with all of you congratulating each other for watching 3000 miles pass under your comfortable seats.

Steve, we feel you pain, we really do. And once I get there, I will throw myself between you and any dangerous co-ed we meet on our trips together. I know... it's a dirty job. Where's Mike Roe when you need him.

Ferry reservation? Check! Place to stay within a few blocks of the shop? Check! ..... then the grinding sound of a clutch being bad this morning... uuuug! Running from shop to shop to see if anyone can fix it today. Working on plan B.. if I start to kayak from Vancouver on Saturday afternoon I should be there in time.

Walk on ferry, get a seat on the PCL bus, we can pick you up at the bus station. At least one other person is doing that -- she is arriving at the bus station at 3:30 pm, so not sure which ferry she is on.
Other option, float plane to Inner Harbour -- we can pick you up.
PM me if you need to discuss arrangements.

Thank you for the offer. I found someone to do it (fingers crossed). Told him I must make it to KiltKamp..... the look on his face when I said that "Well, can't keep you from KiltKamp" he said!!! Honestly, I do not think he knows what I was talking about but it seemed to work. Once again the power of the kilt.

I made it! Thanks again to Bobbie for the airport pickup -- complete with "Kilt Camp 2014" meet/greet sign at the Arrivals door. Bev (Dixiecat) and I have a cute apartment within walking distance of the shop. She's due in later tonight, hitching a ride from Vancouver airport with Benningboy if I have the logistics straight. Let the games begin!

My husband and I arrived in Victoria this afternoon and are settled in a few blocks from the shop. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow.
