    warning Ted: smilie heavy

Well Ted, this ol' rooster was getting his feathers stroked this past weekend!

Seemed everywhere I went the 20-something females were all commenting in the positive about the combo of my new 8-panel cap and my handlebar moustache
There were even a couple that were pretty near crossing the line, if you know what I mean
    (old ticker, be still!)
My nephew was jokingly calling me a "chick magnet"

The consensuses is that its a handsome/stylish combination
    (I'm happy )

Wonder what the effect will be when my Newsome box pleat arrives & I combine the three? hmmm

Sounds good. Glad you had a good time, BoldHighlander.

Here's one of my other hats, and some California poppies.
    * I've removed the picture so I don't have to keep track of where it's posted.

I'll tell you what I've been doing for part of the day. My sister just got married. I wasn't able to fly out there, so I was there by phone. It was crazy, but it worked.

It's been a long busy day, but it was fun. The Irish/Scottish thing has been going on also. Anyway, that's the first wedding I've been to by phone. I kept getting passed around.

BTW, that tweed hat in the picture of me was a gift from my sister.

Thanks BoldHighlander, it's been nice down here for the most part... Few wind storms.

I have thirty-three kilt pictures that I'm working on getting in the right form for the gallery. They've all been resized now, but there are a lot of sideways pictures. I'm just having to go through them one at a time by Emailing each one to a friend. She tells me if it is ready or not., and it is taking a long time. There burning a hole in my pocket.

Here's a link to my list of pictures in the gallery. I hope it works.

    Hey Ted,

Kind of funny, and wanted to share with you. Went out to dinner with my Mom last Wednesday night, and while sitting there wearing my 8-panel "Newsboy/Gatsby" she says "you know, that cap & (handlebar) moustache makes you look like one of those guys who drove those crank operated cars"

While sitting there another gentleman came into the restaurant also wearing an 8-panel cap
This was a bit of a surprise in that since getting mine I have been paying more attention to rather individuals are wearing a flatcap or an 8-panel.
Until the other night mine was the only 8-panel I've seen in my town, all others are of the flat/drivers cap variety, which around here seem to be real popular.

That's cool. You're spreading the look.

You know this means you'll have to get a model T or an A.

I always like the look of the Duce Coop, but I also liked the 79 Monti Carlo.

BTW, tomorrow, I'll be going off to the Ren Fest thing we have down here. It's the last day. I'll probably get dressed up in some kind of silly outfit... I have a gause pirate shirt that laces up in the front that I think I will try out. It's all just to be silly.

Here's a link to a store with hats.

Well, I went to the last day of the Renaissance Festable fare today with a friend and her family. It was fun. It's mostly become about weirdness, for example, there was a guy with a seven foot sword and a tiny pink umbrella walking around and they had llama and elephent rides...
I should be able to post a picture of my funny kilted pirate outfit over the next few days. it's another picture of me with a bear. I got sun burned too. There really wasn't enough shade and it was quite crowded. I had a good time.

My folks had a late 70's Monte Carlo, that was a sweet ride -- I got to drive it to when I got my license...it could get up & go! heehee
