I'm just taking a break from packing the camper. It will be great to get up on the mountain and away from this heat!

I sure hope you're right. It's been pretty hot even up at that elevation in the past few years. I'm considering not bringing any wool kilts to GMHG this year.

I'm bringing my USAK semi-trads & casuals in XMTS & Malcolm tartans. Probably find room for the Caledonia casual, too!

This makes me sad for all those poor guys who will show up despite the temperature in wool tanks, tweed jackets and waistcoats, etc. because they think that there are no options in highland wear. Keeps the EMS crews busy, I suppose.

Guess it just depends on what you're used to... We're looking forward to attend the GFM games for the first time, and anticipate that it will be one of the coolest games we've attended. (Most of the Texas games are 90+ degrees!)

Forecast says highs in the mid 70s, lows in the low 60s. Pretty much perfect. Fair chance of rain every day, but that's pretty normal. It's never as hot at Grandfather as it is at either Greenville or Charleston, and I play in band competition there, usually around 1:30. I wish we could wear something different for those!.

When is it, BTW? usually noonish fri and sat at the STM info tent.
Turpin raised a good question here. When is the Xmarks meetup? Will it be as he suggested? Shall I just show up at the STM tent at noon?

The Rabble will convene at High Noon near the Scottish Tartans Museum Tent (not to close to allow the public to visit the tent freely), Friday, Saturday and Sunday. At 10 minutes past the noon hour the official Rabble of XMarks the Scot Meet Up photograph will be taken. Arrive early to chat and practice "The Hamish"!

We are organized enough to have an "official" meet up? I'm amazed!
