Officially Jonesing for Kilt Kamp!
Steve, I'm out of town this coming week so no big rush on the PayPal invoice that I requested by email. I'll follow up when I'm home, if it hasn't appeared by then.
As we often advise new kilt purchasers, I'll fill the waiting time by gathering thread. . . choosing an appropriate stabilizer and lining fabric. . . considering special straps. . . anything to ease the agony!

I couldn't wait until Kilt Kamp so I stitched up a little something for my grandson to wear at a wedding next fall. Little kilts go soooo much faster than regular ones. This one has a 22" waist, 24" hip, and a 13 1/2" drop. One inch pleats to the green block. The little boy will be seven next month and this will be his first real kilt.

Checking on airfare and such. . . At first glance, it's less expensive to fly into Vancouver than into Victoria. But then I looked at the bus service that Steve linked and, holy cow, the price of bus + ferry ticket r/t exceeds the airline savings! So it looks like a flight into Victoria is the best bet, at least in my case. Just saying, comparison shop. . . And I'll see you all there in a few short months!

I am a first-time Kilt Kamper!
I am currently working on a Dress Tangerine Scott kilt for DD1, and hope to have it finished for a competition in April.
If all goes as planned, I will be working on a Dress Turquoise Scott kilt for DD2. My family history goes back to the Scott family, who settled an area in the suburbs of Vancouver, so I thought it would be nice to have Scott kilts.

Just getting caught up on emails today, and sent one to you. I hope I'm still #6 on the list!
