I worked from home today, but I did go to the watch shop on a lunch break to have my battery replaced. Today, I am wearing my MacMillan Black wool kilt from UT Kilts, a long sleeve black waffle knit shirt, my House of Cheviot Harris hose in Ochre with yellow garters, and my black Wyvern Rob Roy sporran.

Everyday is a kilted day for me but on Friday I had grand jury duty. For my first duty, I appeared as if I were working my normal job -- a high-school science teacher -- with kilt, shirt and tie, vest. I was the best-dressed person there and the district attorney came up to me afterwards complimenting me and hinted that he may wear his own kilt next time. All other jurors wore relatively casual clothing so since that first day, I've followed suit. Yesterday I wore my all-time favourite kilt, an 18 oz knife-pleated beauty by Barb Tewksbury in the Arctic tartan. I also wore a black leather day sporran. T-shirt and a zip-up, merino-wool jumper on top. Sorry for the lack of picture. Gotta work on that ...
Happy weekend, people!
Jonathan

Although I have fallen out of the habit of wearing a kilt to work every Friday, I just might revive the tradition, as I did yesterday for St. Pat's Eve..

Wore my Clergy Tartan to work on Friday - St Patrick's Day - and spent the day playing some Irish Fiddle tunes for the residents of my CCRC. ![Boohoo](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/boohoo.gif)
For some reason I came out sideways!!!

Another casually kilted Friday, with handmade sporran and hiking boots. Didn't even bother with flashes; who knew hose would stay up just fine ![Smile](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
Was asked by a lady if it were a special occasion. No, just Friday. I like your Friday, she said with a smile.

My first pair of flashes was a really cheap pair, they started fraying quite quickly. I pulled the flashes off the other day and just used the elastic to hold the hose up without any additional flair. I find they usually drift down without a little assistance. Glad you can keep yours up easier than I.

Another Kilted Friday in my Scottish Wild Cat tartan kingussie kilt. After work I headed to my local and shed a few more tears over the Virginia NCAA loss last week. Managed one photo without any tears in my beer. ![Crying or Very sad](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_cry.gif)

Today's kilted Friday was in a MacPherson, 8-yard, 16-oz pleated-to-the-line kilt; grey button-down with purple neck-tie and black waistcoat. Homewards to walk the dog, changed into a Utilikilt ("survival") and moccasin boots with a jumper and wind-shirt.
Happy weekend, all.

Donned the family tartan today, Tartan Day, casually.
The one lady I met in the stairwell yesterday in her tartan tights was in the stairwell again with plain ones today; so while she was asking why I was in my tartan, I was asking where was hers. She threw in a good-humoured comment about where to look since she was a few steps below. About as adventurous as the day will be.
