Greetings. I'm a "lurker" who just popped in to say Hello. I do wear a kilt ocassionaly but not too often. I don't usually have very much to say but I enjoy reading all of your stories. I hope you don't mind but my kilt is precious to me and I wear it only for special ocassions. I'll step back now and continue lurking. Thank you.

Hi Burnout, glad to see you 'emerged from the shadows' to say hi, glad to hear you love your kilt, no matter how often you wear it.
Feel free to post whenever you like.

Welcome Burnout!
Please excuse my saying this but, for me, ALL my kilts are precious and EVERY day is a special occasion! It could so easily be the same for you.
Kilts are extremely sturdy and hard wearing garments that are not likely to wear out through constant wear (my oldest is now 31 years old and still looks like new), so please do not be afraid of wearing yours a little more often.

Hello Burnout... glad you stopped by to say Hello. I also feel that my kilts are precious as well but I try to wear them as often as I can. (not often enough for my liking!) And you now have the testimony of our own World Kilt Authority, Hamish on the durability of kilts . This site is a great resource for good advice or answering your concerns. Perhaps Bear,or any of the other fine kiltmakers posting here, can help you out with your "kilt deficit. (I've got one too. ) Please feel free to join the fun anytime.
