Another day kilted
Since I wear a kilt on most days, it's not extraordinary for me. This is what I wore today. 5 yard-style Donegal Crest tartan from USA Kilts in 13 oz wool. I like plain sporrans and picked up this one from The Kilt Society in Edinburgh. Boots are from Soul Path Shoes in British Colombia.

New kilt worn for first time today, Cullins of Skye created by Paul Henry, realised I always take the pictures at home, so got one of the girls to do a work shot. Unfortunately the colours don't show up so well inside, so will probably do a review with better pictures later.
Had to go and buy some milk from "coffee shop" in one of the other buildings which proved to be quite eventful.
Walking through the main hall 2 gents were having an impromptu business chat with quite a tall elegant lady, who was repeatedly distracted by the kilted gent (well me anyway) walking towards them.
Young Lady serving milk questionably said "kilt" with a big smile on her face, I just answered it was a beautiful day so why not and smiled back.
On the way back out the lady was still having a meeting and kept half turning round to get a better view, steel heels telegraphed that I was approaching, it made me smile as it was obviously annoying the two gents she was talking to.
On leaving the building a soldier exiting the gym, opposite, commented "very smart", I thanked him.
There were other positive comments but I won't bore you any further than to say it was a very good day for kiltedness.

Thanks for posting. That's a beautiful tartan. I like your sporran as well, may I inquire about it?

Of course, it is a Mark 2 cantle that a nice person on here sold me and it was rebagged by Morrisons sporrans.

Try this, unfortunately colours still not very visible.
If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!

This picture was taken at the Flight 93 Memorial in Shanksville PA. My wife and I were on our way to the Ligonier Highland Games and stopped to see the Memorial and the recently dedicated Tower of Voices.

Spent Friday, and at a couple of meetings in AB Modern with collared shirt and v-neck buttoned jumper. One comment on why dressed up; responded with it being pretty casual, actually. She wasn't convinced

MacDonald Clan Ranald ancient today and one more exercise in proving that you don't have to think too much about what to wear with your kilt. Green pullover with those single thread multi colours running through it, light blue collar shirt, DIY brown sporran, dark brown hose, oxblood boots and maroon flashes. It all compliments since nothing clashes that I can see, but there certainly wasn't much thought put to it as I got ready to go this morning.
Saw one casually kilted fellow walking across the Legislature plaza early morning. Would have been nice to find out if he was an Xmarker. New Historic Interpreter staff were in for a short briefing, and I got a few looks. "Every Friday. Count on it"

I love Friday's.
I try to be kilted on Fridays but don't always manage it. When I do it makes for a nice start to the weekend. Kind of like a pre-celebration.
I'm all set for a HH at the local Ruths Chris. Sporting my new USAF casual kilt and sporran from USAK.

Kilted for a month!
In an earlier post I stated September was "Kilted to Kick Cancer" month. Today was the last day kilted, which is a record for me. Went to a local fast food chicken restaurant today where a young man about 14 asked me what was that I was wearing called. Told him it was a kilt. Response from him was "Cool!". Great to know a 65 year old can still be cool. Last night while out with friends a man asked what was the occasion. Told him about September being Kilted to Kick Cancer and I had been kilted all month. Said he had one and said he was going to try to wear it more often. He asked how many kilts I owned. Told him I owned seven (two 5.11 TDK's and five USA Kilts. Also had six week follow up on prostatectomy. Everything looked good. Taking it one day at a time on the road to recovery.
