My son and I after having just returned from a private St. Andrew's Day dinner with the my daughter and mother-in-law.

Young Bob is wearing shirt. tie. and vest from Walmart, Black Stewart kilt, sporran, and kilt pin from Stillwater Kilts, hose are soccer socks from Big 5 Sporting Goods, falashes are DIY, shoes from Payless Shoe Source.

I'm wearing a vest and shirt from Target, Locharron tie in the Kerr tartan, sporran I picked up at the Dunsmuir Highland Games, Locharron kilt flashe in the Kerr tartan, hose from a vendor at the Woodland Highland Games, and shoes from Payless Shoe Source.

I know, I know the vests are too long but I didn't know that until we put them on and his sporran is a little high due the fact that the chain belt was too short. I have ordered him a kilt strap from SWK so it will fit right next time. We all had a great time.

This is as dressy as I will get. All ready to go to church for Christmas eve service. Blurry pic. Bad camera.

Here is my "TAKE" on what I concider "DRESSY"

A Crail/Argyle Jacket with vest, & tie + a good TRADITIONAL KILT. ( note the tie & other accesories can either dress it up or down. (in this case, to dress it up, I would change the tie to a plain Drk Charcoal wool & change the "flashes" to either lt. grey or charcoal.)

IMHO, A TWEED Jacket & Tie, with or with out a vest, is "CASUAL DRESS "( for casual business, casual eve etc.)

If a "tweed etc is worn with out a tie, then it becomes "Casual"

Here is a link to my "LOOKS" It kind of explains my "DEFINITIONS)

    Full Dress?

Here's a pic of me after our Burns Supper 2009-

I'm doing the 'Rat Pack' look with the bowtie undone!

    Take care,
