Re: Welsh Rugby Scarf Travel Log in Pictures
Wow .... the scarf seems to have entered warp drive. Thanks Alex for a great set of pics. I know I keep repeating myself, but thanks for taking time out with the scarf. Really appreciated.
Its obvious Chas, the postman wasnt going to mess with a man in a kilt, and he certainly did obey your instructions and run all the way with it to Alex. Nice one.
If the scarf gets back to me in enough time I will take it to the hills for a pic a few days before our christmas folk concert in the church

The scarf arrived in the north in the afternoon post. We have to go into Thurso tomorrow so will take some pics then up to Dunnet Head and John O'Groats and get it on to Hamish as soon as possible.
Cheers.
Chris.

Re: Welsh Rugby Scarf Travel Log in Pictures
Now that the scarf is in the hands of Royal Mail, I am sure it will remain in warp drive . . . unlike the shoddy performance of the South African Post Office.
I hang my head in shame.
And here’s wishing Hamish some fog-free days and greatly improved health.

Really looking forward to seeing John O'Groats, since I first heard of it as a little kid it is a place I have always wanted to visit. I don't know the history but we have a restaurant that is quite popular in LA with the name. http://www.ogroatsrestaurant.com/

I'm not able to view LitTrog's pics either.
It looks like he has removed the links.

Re: Welsh Rugby Scarf Travel Log in Pictures
We had to go into Thurso today, shopping so the scarf came too.
Where the River Thurso flows out to the sea I spotted these two guys heading out to the surf. Brrrrrrrr! not for me.

So the scarf wanted a look but tied itself round the post so it would'nt get blown into the sea.
Thurso Castle which is still owned by Lord Thurso and Dunnet Head in the distance. It was a dull windy day but it had at least stopped raining.

We then went round the point to Thurso beach.

Looking towards Scrabster Harbour.

More tomorrow when we go to Dunnet Head and John O'Groats then in the post to Ham.
Cheers.
Chris.

Thanks for the pics Chris. I just checked Google and it indicated a day time high of 45F, man brave souls indeed for surfing in that temperature.
