Now I need to figure out how to carry a pistol wearing a kilt. I have searched around and see that the neokilt has an option. But, for now I will be wearing my traditional. I have a rabbit hair sporran that I think it will fit in. I am open to suggestions.

Watch out USNDoc. Lots of folks around here get the vapors when someone mentions packing iron. Feel free to contact me via Private Message or e-mail @: dochudson2 AT yahoo.com
Here are a few suggestions:
Try sewing a pistol pocket on the under apron in the manner of Pittsburg Kilts. I don't know how well this would work on anything bigger than a J-frame Smith, or a .380 pistol. I'd suggest adding a velcro thumb-break to secure the pistol in the pocket.
Use a fanny-pack holster. Try to find one that doesn't scream GUN!!!. Not easy, but Dillon and others market f-p holsters in a variety of colors and materials. The one I use will handle anything up to a 4" L-frame S&W or a 4.75" SAA.
The hard one would be to make a Sporran with a concealed holster similar to a fanny-pack holster. If you find a good pattern, pleas share it with me. I've been trying to come up with a good sporran holster for a year.
Thunderwear, or a Belly-Band Holster offer another possibility, if you have the build for it. Personally, I don't need anything that adds to my already considerable girth.
BTW, I have another old friend who is former Navy in Virginia Beach, he is Robert H."Doc" O'Meara, the writer. Are you near him?
Welcome aboard.
