One of my belt buckles is plain with the rampant lion on it, no thistles or knotwork it really looks nice.

How about knife buckles. Has anyone seen one with a celtic or other suitable theme for kilts?

Has anyone seen just a plain, smooth, no engravings, etc. buckle? Sometimes, the simplest can be very nice.

Galant, those are all PERFECT examples of what I'm talking about!!! Thank you!!!

There's not a lot that we can accessorize the kilts with that allows for some real "personalization". The buckles are a wonderful, and small, way to express your own personality.

    Those are GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!

I love the work on the claddaugh buckle!

No problem, if I might drop a plug, I think almost all of those are available through Cyndi at the Thistle Stop. That's where I first saw them. Though she didn't have them on her website yet, and still hasn't because she's very, very busy, she took the time to send me an email with many options of things available. She's been absolutely amazing and helpful and I'll be buying from her in the near future.

She can also supply some of those other buckles posted above by others.

Galant, I've seen those before, at what shop did you find them?

I found the actual images at other locations online (which can be seen by checking image properties) but I first found them through Cyndi - I'd recommend her.

    Oh, Cynthia!!! 8)

Here's a WONDERFUL chance to show us what you've got in the bins. Perhaps you need to test-out the pictures that you're going to post?

I know a few "close friends" that are looking for something different before the travels hit in a few weeks.

I am afraid this 'new' buckle, shown to us by Jimmy, is to be seen everywhere also! (Sorry Jimmy).

On a recent visit to Edinburgh, I saw it, mainly the black and chrome version but some other colours too, in just about every kiltmakers/Highland Dress shop in the city centre. The price for the black and chrome one ranged from £25 up to £44.50, depending upon the name over the shop-front!

Being the shy, retiring type that I am ( ), I found this design to be a little too 'unsubtle' for my liking!!
