    Good on ya, mate!

The pressue to conform in High School is brutal. Even when you try to not conform, you have to "not conform" the same way everybody else "doesn't conform".

Go your own way, guy. You don't have to be obnoxious about it and punch everyone who looks ar you funny, but just make up your own mind and do what seems right and best to you. It'll pay off in ways you'll never dream possible in years to come.

    Way to go, Nevermore!

It takes balls to wear a kilt to school and apparently some of your classmates wanted to see how big they are.

The St. Andrew's tartan is appropriate for any American to wear. It's red, white, and blue.

When I was at secondry school (ages 11-16) the Head and several teachers used to wear the kilt on St andrews day and one of the teachers would pipe in the kilt, we used to do highland dance as part of PE, although you only need a kilt for competitions, when a new wing of the school was opened a local sheriff was invited to open and there was pipes and kilts a plenty, the sheriff was a lady so she wore a Tartan skirt (sheriffs in scotland dont wear cowboy hats and have silver stars, they are more like a kind of "judge")

Not that I'm all that older then the high school aged folks here, but it certainly warms my heart to hear that the kilt is making its way into the halls of education around the world.

As I prepare to move to Pullman, WA, I expect to take a little grief from undergrads, but I'm sure that I'll be a bit of a novelty, but I'll be OK with that. Interestingly enough, while playing poker in March with some current WSU students, I learned of another kilted gentleman who is seen wandering the streets of Pullman. I'm looking forward to finding this fellow wearer of the kilt, hopefully directing him here.

Once again, way to go, keep bringing the good fight to those at your school,
