David, I surely hope that's all she's laughing at.

If my wife is asleep when I come to bed and I'm wearing a Bear or USAK velcro kilt, I have to remove it outside the room so I don't wake her.

The Bear kilt is noisier because it has more velcro on it. I love the sound...rip it off and jump into bed, no messing with zips, buttons and narrow legs.

    I hate trousers, hate them!

In which case, it's probably a good thing if she's awake for it, after all! :-D

On average twice, but I do remember on one occasion changing kilts five times in one day!

YES! Yes, thank you. It's good to know that someone else has this issue with their spouse.

It's gotten to the point that if I come home late from work and she's in bed, if she knows I wore my Bear Kilt that day, she'll mumble about "taking it off in your study"....which sounds pretty weird, if you think about it. But she's referring to the velcro.

If they're not too tight, and with a bit of wriggling, I can slide out of my kilts. I usually let it sit on the floor where it falls until morning, when I can simply step into it and slide it up again. (Poly/viscose only.) It's quiet and handy.
Of course, if you have a good reason (I've only found one, so far) and WANT to wake your wife, unfasten the velcro slowly.
ckckckckckckckckckckckckckckckckckckckckckckckckck ckckckc ... "Sorry, did I wake you?"
