Indeed! Don't worry about it... things run in cycles. You'll know when the time is right to wear it again.
James... couldn't have said it better myself.

It's great to be able to wear the kilt when the mood or the occaision is right, one of my employer's safety requirements is that all employees in the field must wear long p***s. As the grand patriarch of the safety staff, I must set a good example here at work.
However, my family is going to get a good dose of the kilt over the upcoming holidays, they had better get prepared.

Hello Blu!
It great to have you drop by you've been missed!
In regards to the kilt, I believe that freedom means having a choice, and if one must do one thing or another in regard to their clothing then there is no freedom. Let's take a page from the ladies here gentlemen, who having won the freedom to wear trousers also maintain the right to wear their skirits as the need or notion strikes them.
Be Well

May all your blessings be the ones you want and your friends many and true.

Always good to hear from you, Blu.
If it's any consolation, it's been longer than that since I wore mine. I had it out, one day, when I thought I might make it to Woodsheal's kilt night in Binghamton, but other plans got in the way.
I respect everyone's choices for kilt-wearing. For me, it's a special event thing.

I'm usually only kilted when I go out. I went out last night, threw on my kilt. When I got home, it was jean shorts... for lounging around on the sofa, rolling on the floor w/my son... shorts are just easier. No 4-5 yards of fabric flipping every which way, dont need to tuck the back under my butt when I sit down, etc.
I do like to look good though when I go out, and as many others have said here before, I'm an attention whore

Thanks for the input, guys. I feel a bit better about it now. I should state for the record that I don't plan on reducing my inventory or anything drastic such as that. Nor has my appreciation for the kilt diminished in any way. It's just a mild apathy - temporary I suspect. I must get out somewhere this weekend... that should fix things.
cheers,
blu
