Hi Phil,
The Freedom Kilt actually brings the total up to 57 now (YooHoo, Hank! Hi Hank!).
BC was FABULOUS! What a beautiful part of the world - and what a great bunch of people. Lasting friendships were definitely formed as a result of that fortnight with those guys! Pity you couldn't make it.

money was a bit tight, with the new business and all,I was having to be very careful for a while.I would have loved to have gone, I even had a very kind offer to stay with one of the BC guys.but the time away and cost of flight was way too much.

Fully understood, Phil. Next time, eh?

Oh, the numbers fluctuated day by day, Phil, according to their availability and the event or outing scheduled. Some came for several days. Others maybe for just one day. I'm pretty sure Dave and I met just about all the local contingent: Raphael, Bear, Colin, Steve, David, Andrew, Todd and many more, together with several of their super families. Jamie and his family came up from Battleground WA for a few days, and Binx flew in from further afield. It was all very relaxed (at least, it was for us visitors) and informal, and not so big that you didn't get to meet everyone else present. It was absolutely great!

Well, I am still (yes, it's true) sorting through, selecting, cropping, captioning and so forth the 400 plus images that Dave and I took between us in that fortnight. It is a long, slow process but, when it's done, I'll have a small sub-album devoted to The Gathering within my photo album, as I have for our 2003 USA Tour.
In the meantime, Raphael has a nice 2-page selection in his family album starting at:

I thought Bear had some on his BearKilts site, but he seems to have removed them now - at least I cannot find them!
