Where did it all come from?
O.K. lads, here's a bit of esoterica fer ya..... Do you know who discovered Alice Cooper? I didna think so. Well you know he comes from the motor city, but he had relocated to L.A. tryin to make a hit. He and his band were playing in an un-named club one evening, when a rock star of some repute wandered in and caught a set. Afterward he approached Alice (Vincent Fournier) and said, "I like what your doing. Why don't you come around to my place about 9 and play a little more for me?" They dutifully showed up at 9 AM and knocked on the door. Our rock star begrudgingly got up and listened to a set. (He'd meant 9PM- they'd got him up in the middle of the night.) He went on to produce their first two albums. (I like em!) But they didn't achieve rock stardom until they moved back to Detroit. Who was that rock star? Frank Zappa!
Cheers
Vincent

...but even our Vincent, son of missionaries to the Sioux, wouldn't accept being called Alice Cookies.
My pirate buddy just found bootleg footage from that era, scary stuff. Our own Bob Ezrin fixed it up right, though, and made Alice CanCon which boosted his sales.
