It sure was a very pleasant surprise Daneel, and folks, you should know that Daneel has the most beautiful northern Irish accent.
It's worth talking to him just to hear it!!

Best of the Season to you Graham and all others!
I'm fresh out of Laphoaig, but I have a couple of liters of apple/cinnamon cordial my sister-in-law made for me for Christmas. It's sweet, spicy and warming, and deceptively potent.
This morning, I found some apple cider in the 'fridge to heat up later. A splash of the cordial in a cup of warm cider will make a nice welcome-home drink after work tonight.
I hope Santa was also good to all of you.

Cheers and a blessed Christmas!
Laphroaig is on my list of Scotch for the New Year. I want my little piece of Scotland!

Belated Good and Happy Christmas Wishes to you Graham, and to all my kilted brethren the world over.
This is my very first, or at least the first that I can remember, 'dry' Christmas and Hogmanay. Unfortunately, because of the pain killers I am currently taking, I am unable to take alcohol for another two weeks or so!! Also, I ruined the Christmas dinner I was trying to cook for myself yesterday and had to make do with a ham (no pun intended!!) sandwich and a cup of coffee.
Fortunately, saving my sanity, my new neighbour invited me to join her family for afternoon tea and Christmas cake!
I've a feeling this will NOT be a Christmas to remember!!
