If you want to pay 127% more ($2.01), Martha Stewart thanks you.

I'll put the extra cash in the kitty for more kilts. ;)
Wow, Iolaus...the veiled insult was totally unnecessary. The choice of shopping venue aside, this thread was begun as a friendly suggestion, nothing more. Can we please keep it that way?

FYI, the Martha Stewart hangers are of a much better quality than Ikea's, and I've seen both in person. Since I prefer quality over quantity or expense, I bought the former. But, c'est la vie. ;)

If you have an Ikea near you, it might be cheaper to drive over.
I have been using the Ikea ones for my casual kilts. They work great for lightweight kilts but do not hold really heavy kilts. I have also found that with the PV kilts you can fold them to fit into the hanger better so that the sides of the kilt are not lacking in support and therefore not drooping. This does not however seem to work for the heavier wool kilts.

Right now I have one of these holding my traditional together in the middle while it is hung up on a skirt hanger (two clips on the ends).

A while ago, someone suggested using two hangers - tip-to-tip - per kilt, and then folding the kilt so that both hangers were in line to hang up. Perhaps that would work for your heavier kilts.

Until a year or so ago, I was able to buy this wooden-bar hanger with bars 15" long - absolutely perfect for all my kilts, and the bars could be slipped through the kilt's belt loops prior to clamping. They would hold the heaviest kilts but, alas, the one retailer that I knew of here in the United Kingdom (The John Lewis Partnership), discontinued them due to "lack of demand!" The bar hangers they now stock are far too short (and not strong enough) to be of any use, to me at least.

I had a tough time finding a clamp hanger that would hold a heavy weight Kilt but I finally found them at Target Stores, it's been a while since I purchased them but they are a dark wood with the metal rod with two spring loaded 'clothespin' like holders and my Kilts have stayed on since I put them there, also the hanger is as wide as any clothes hanger and I add my Kilt jackets on top of the Kilts. I hope you all can find these, they work great even for a regimental weight Kilt.
