Ron,
sizing is same as US. Hose link
Site says $15, catalogue says $20. So, maybe if ordered from the site they'd be cheaper.

If your kilt hose are wool, and you're wearing them a lot, the foot tends to shrink because the wool "felts" a little inside your shoe (warm feet, a little sweat, and rubbing around inside your shoe). You might find that they're OK after a bit.

I think I may have to get one of the Child sporrans for my son. Hmmm.
I take it they don't have online ordering? My wife and I have been fighting for 2 days, so I am buying all the stuff I want right now on her creditcard (and making the payments of course...I'm not heartless or stupid).

Kilt Socks at Hamilton Dry Goods
If you're looking for some good kilt socks and variety, try Hamilton Dry Goods in Sparta, Tennessee. www.hamiltondrygoods.com They specialize in "early American and recreationist clothing" I just order three pair of kilt socks from them due to a posting on another forum. They have a good reputation and excellent customer service. I called them on the phone, after I checked out their web site. You wouldn't believe the level of friendly service I got. I told him I needed them by next week for a trip I was taking and he upped the shipping from USPS to UPS at no additional charge.

If your not buying wool anyway, Hamilton Dry goods is a great option. The only negative I have about them is the limited standard color options. But if you need a nice set of cream socks they are awesome for us boys with large calfs.

I wonder...has anyone any experience dying new woolen socks? Would the dye take? I'd hate to have not only blue hands from the dying process but also blue feet and lower legs after wearing them...? And maybe the ancient Scots weren't actually wearing paint when they went into battle...
Chris.
