USA Kilt in Macmillan tartan

If this is any help...

We usualyy end up pleating it to the black stripe in the gold. It gives flashes of black when you walk and the back looks VERY different from the front.

Thought I saw a post where Matt said this was an asymetrical tartan and difficult to pleat?...or maybe it was another MacMillan tartan?

Still wondering if anyone has pics to share of theirs....

the MacMillan Black is a regular symetrical tartan... not sure about other MacMillans though.

Okay, rooted around some Clan MacMillan newsletter sites and found these two pics.

The gentleman on the left seems to be wearing the tartan.

Here's a pic of the backside. Is this the way you pleat it Rocky?

the version we have is similar to that one, but ours is symetrical where the one pictured above is not.

USUALLY, we pleat it to the stripe (NOT how it's pictured), although we can do it to the sett upon request (similar to how it's pictured above).
