Nothing special for me. I'll wear a kilt to work and maybe go out to dinner to make the people talk.
There may be some activities down the road in DC, but I'm not dealing with their traffic to find out.

Sad state of affairs!
Especially since our national Congress/Parliament have both endorsed this day. I thought the Scots heritage was strong in our countries! It's looking like Tartan Day is about as lonely in some place as the the Maytag repairman!
Well, lads, we're together in spirit!

Very few people pay any attention unless they get a day off work. Even then, they don't care about anything but the time off.

Just one more reason
This is just one more reason that I am not going to do a third tour. I miss tartan day, i miss bridge day in West "by God" Virginia, all the highland festivals, etc. Next year....I dont think I am going to work much, just do lots of catching up.
Everyone have a great time for me, take many photos and post them!

Looking online, I don't see much of anything happening in the greater Richmond area.

Not a thing going on here. In fact, in spite of letters to the editor I've written in the last couple years on the subject that they haven't printed, no one even knows Tartan Day exists. Between the village I live in and the city up the road if it ain't Dutch or German it don't matter.

I just looked here
HTML Code:

and you can find out what is nearby. Not everything is tomorrow, such as Denver which is Sat, but there are things in every state. Hope I can talk the wife into a drive up to Denver on Saturday.
