Was out in those 50mph "dry storm" winds kilted in my UK Denim original...it flew around but I was always properly covered.
You're a braver man than I am to go into an old mine shaft....worked the mines as a youth and got clobbered by a fall of ground in a freshly bared down shaft...don't know I'd risk it in an old one...
About 20 years ago I got stupid and took some kids into an old mine shaft in Daisy Mountain north of Phoenix...a ten year old decided it'd be cool to scream...we were lucky to get out alive. He had no clue that screaming could bring the roof of an old mine down.
