Looks like Mattg, got out of the gardening. I don't know when I'll be there, looks like Friday evening at this point. I'll be in a Gunn Modern, hope to bump in to one of you when I'm there. Mattg, what part of the state are you; the soil looks a like a gently sloping, sandy-loam. Beautiful 'Maters!

That's my parents house in Travelers Rest, SC. Right in the upstate. They're about 4 minutes from Furman, where the games are going to be. That's my dad working his garden. We used to have a farm in Michigan so he's up to his old ways He's put a lot of work into that soil to turn from red clay into at least a little darker soil.

This thread is making me homesick as I was born and raised in Greenville. Wish I could make this one.
Mattg,
That garden pic really brings back memories. 'Bout all I do now is some tomato plants on the deck of my suburban townhouse. I miss all that room. If you run into any Huffs or Gosnells in Traveler's Rest they're most likely related on my Mom's side.

The downtown activities start at 6, but I'm sure it will be going on for quite awhile. I'm not sure what time Rathkeltair is playing, but they're supposed to be setting up at the Hyatt end.

hey Joe -
I'm trying to work out the parking issue...do you know the parade route? The website doesn't offer much info on the ceilidh. If the Rathkeltair stage is down by the Hyatt, I reckon the Hyatt deck would be as good as any, eh?
Thanks!

Hey Chris,
Yes, I guess the Hyatt will be about the best place to park. That's where we are gonna park, too. The website definitely is very sparse on details, this being the first year it seems like they would try to get all the information possible out there, doesn't it? I hope everything good doesn't start right at 6, with Sylvia's work schedule we probably won't be able to get there til around 7. Hope to see ya there, we'll have to get a pint together! Are either of the guys coming that were at the ETH show? The more the merrier!
