When is always July 4th at noon...a silent circle of prayers for peace. Gears up a few days before and winds down a few days after.

Where varies year to year...exact location announced just a few days in advance to avoid hassles with freaked out authorities. Rumors say Colorado this year...maybe even the western slope in SW Colorado....hope hope.

Even my friends, regulars most every year, don't know where yet. But we'll gear up to go, then go.

    Hey Ron,
was thinking of you and the tie dying of your kilt the other day - was passing a subway stop where a lot of artists hang out peddling thier wares and saw a guy 'graffitti-ing' a pair of white canvas shoes with colored weater color markers - came back with an effect very similar to tie dieing but a bit more controlled.... was thinking that would bring aboutr an interesting result on a kilt....
    ITS A KILT, G** D*** IT!

    Thanks Onion,

Had thought of something near that to have Hopi designs done as an alternative to embroidery. Let it go when I figured its probably not culturally sensitive for a "Bowana" (Anglo) to be running around in Hopi-like garb.

Didn't think of it as a way to do other designs.

Still hung up on committing to any one thing rather than the vesitility of plain white...which is unusual enough in a kilt.

Glad to hear things like this still exist. I would liked to have been there. It seems as though there is not much left of those good things from the 60's since many have forgotten. But I have spent the last 40 years doing what I can and am able to look back with satisfaction on my small successes. My spirit will be with you.

    Cheers! Bill

Always find it odd when people have trouble with seeking peace, love and understanding. Together, they are the true goals of a warrior. The alternative is really sad.

Peace and blessings to you, Ron.

btw, to keep the mod happy, I won't make it this weekend. Ha.
