Isn't that amazing? People here said that but when it happened to me it surprised me. Have you been out on a windy day yet? It's really quite a different feeling.

Well, we had a bit of wind, but I wasn't too concerned about flashing. Of course, if it was more windy, I'd pay closer attention.
I think most people recognize the kilt as a kilt, and not a man wearing a skirt. I was surprised that in an olive green AmeriKilt, the few people to comment immediately associated it with Scotland and Ireland; it's pretty modern, and I was wearing a black t-shirt and Birkenstocks.

Mike makes a great kilt for the money. Just me, but I've become hooked on that Stillwater ballistic nylon zippered sporran rig. Now wear it with my AmeriKilts and USA Kilts...and even my hand sewn Kathy's Kilts.
Best way to get used to being kilted in the wind is just go off hiking somewhere on a windy day and let the kilt fly...get the feel of it's limits...women grow up with skirts, getting used to the wind....we gotta go out and learn.

Congrats on your new AK. I'm sure you will enjoy the freedom as you wear it more and you will also start noticing when you do wear pants, how much you rack your balls and realize how much you tended to overlook the discomfort in the past. I know I do.
If you have not already, please check out my website (link below) and post your thoughts.
Enjoy the freedom!

Thanks Mark. Kilt Day has been a big help for me, so you can pat yourself on the back I won't wear trousers again, not if I have a choice. In fact, I'm waiting to hear back from Rocky about a USAK casual, and hoping he maybe has an off-the rack available to help keep me clothed during their usual lead time. I think the AK will hold up to being washed twice a week until I get more kilts, and I'm amazed at how clean the kilt is by the end of the day, even regimental.
No more trousers for this bloke; it's just not an option any more.
