I do so love to see the fringes of kilt fashion pushed wider and wider.
Very cool.
So what part of the world are you in?

Well to answer the questions in kind: I am located in Fairbanks Alaska but my unit has been extended in our tour of Iraq, so though I came home advanced party I now have to return to Iraq. That leads into the commercial production side. I have been asked to make them by a few people and will probably oblige. I however do not know yet when (due to Iraq) or how much. That and I am to much of a perfectionist so I would not be willing to release my current wares to the public without fine tunning my technique just yet. The rat is my room mates and yes he is a pet. Thank you for the support and I will get some more detailed shots up for you tonight so you can see the work. Oh and yes Pittsburgh Kilts site was very influencial. Well seeing as I am typing over the kilt I am working on I think its time to get back to work and finish this one for todays demo at the fair. (SCA)
Welcome, nice work. What material did you use? I've made two that can be found on the board. I used to spend summers at Eilson, I'm from Wasilla originally. Spent a lot of time at Ft Greeley and Black Rapids. Keep us informed of your progress and keep the good pictures coming. O'Neille
Good looking tailoring there sunflash! It almost appears to me that "sunflash" is in the pleats!
Welcome to xmts.
I think certainly now, I'll get my sewing skills out of the back room and moving forward.
Go, have fun, don't work at, make it fun! Kilt them, for they know not, what they wear. Where am I now?
Well I finished making kilt number four yesterday afternoon. Here are some shots of it while I'm moving some funiture for a friend of a friend. This perticular one is not completely finished as it is still lacking some of the heraldry touches that it is about to get. I will also lay out some of the others so that I can take some detail shots for you guys as requested. Oh and it was a big hit in my mind walking around the fair in it for the demo. Lots of stares and a few compliments.
