Aaramp,
Welcome to the forum from Northern California.
I have the olive drab Sport Kilt as well and am really enjoying it (though I'm finding that I do need to iron the pleats fairly often to keep them looking nice. Other than that I have found it the most comfortable of my kilts.
If you are looking for a good place to start for accessories that aren't going to break the bank I highly recommend www.stillwaterkilts.com

To quote Hamish "you don't have to be Scottish to be comfortable."
Actually X Marker, Sorcerer Dale wrote that.
I believe Hamish is quoted as saying:
"nonsense anyone can wear a kilt"
Both are good bits of advice.

Thanks for the hearty welcome, folks.
I'll probably eventually get a tartan kilt, either Maple Leaf or Ontario, which I stumbled across a couple days ago. I just need to find a kiltmaker in Canada who sells those. Should be doable, but for now I need to figure out how to where my first one.
It IS quite the addiction though; I've already got a second picked out for order.

I did the same Aramp, and welcome. I hope you stick around. As for geekiness well I reckon we're all kilt geeks around here so you'll have that in common. I think there's another philosopher or two lurking about here as well, staring into the abyss somewhere...
